Pokemon Theme Park Shows Off Its Features Ahead Of Opening Day

In just over a week, the first-ever permanent Pokemon theme park, PokePark Kanto, will open in Japan. Judging from advance sales, it’s likely to be difficult to get tickets until demand dies down. In the meantime, PokePark Kanto opened up its doors a few days early to let fans know what the experience has in store for them.

PokePark Kanto is set to open on February 5, but there are some restrictions in place that may keep some visitors from being able to step foot into the forest part of the park. Wheelchair users and children under five won’t be allowed in that area, in part because visitors need to be able to walk up 110 steps unaided to reach the area.

However, the Sedge Town section of the park will be more accessible to all visitors. That’s where fans can find shops, rides, and a gym where they can watch special Pokemon stage shows.

Pokemon will also feature in new parks in collaboration with Universal. The first one will be in Osaka, Japan before being established in the US.
